James Way Beautification Project

The City Council has prioritized a resident-centered focus throughout the community for capital improvement projects. One of those projects includes improvements to the James Way corridor. Staff recently held an online workshop to discuss amenity improvements and included a staff presentation and interactive poll. Discussion included amenities improvements, trash cans, art, tree wells, and other ideas. If you were unable to join, a recording of the meeting is available here. Please note that the recording may take several minutes to download due to the size of the file. The online poll will not work while viewing the recording, residents are encouraged to submit their thoughts via email to Ben Fine, Director of Public Works/City Engineer at bfine@pismobeach.org.

Staff will be presenting an overview of the discussion to City Council at the November 16, 2021 City Council meeting. The Park, Recreation and Beautification Committee will also be discussing the project at their meeting in December. Staff expects the details of the project to be finalized by January, with City Council approval of the project taking place in February.
