It is unlawful to scatter human ashes within the City of Pismo Beach. Sattering of ashes need to be made 3 miles out to sea. There are private charters who service the Pacific Coast area including Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and Morro Bay whom offer sea burial service to the public.
