Building
The Building Division provides plan review, permit issuance, building inspection, and code enforcement services to the citizens and business owners of the City of Pismo Beach in a courteous, professional, and ethical manner.

Conference & Visitors Bureau
The Conference & Visitors Bureau (CVB) administers the city’s efforts to promote tourism to Pismo Beach, thereby enhancing the City’s General Fund revenue through Transient Occupancy Tax receipts and, to a lesser but significant extent, through Sales Tax receipts. The mission is to increase overnight visitorship and visitor expenditures, with emphasis on mid-week and off-season tourism.

The City Engineering Division of the Public Works Department consists of 2 main departments under the supervision of the City Engineer - the Capital Projects Division and the Development Engineering Division.

Finance
The Finance Division is part of the Administrative Services Department and provides the public and its employees all the City's financial related transactions, including budgeting, financial reports, treasury management, business licenses, and utility billing.

Fire
The City of Pismo Beach Fire Department employs a full-time staff, including a Battalion Chief, 6 Fire Captains, 6 Fire Apparatus Engineers and an Administrative Assistant.

Lifeguards
The Pismo Beach Lifeguard Mission is to provide a safe atmosphere and environment for all beach patrons visiting Pismo Beach.

Management Services comprises the City Clerk's Office, Human Resources, Risk Management and Social Media / PIO.

Parking
Paid parking is in effect in the city’s core downtown area. Using automated pay parking stations located in the downtown core, all visitors and vehicles are required to pay for parking between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily.

Parks and Halls is a division of the Recreation Department and is committed to enriching the quality of life through exceptional parks and facilities while preserving the community’s natural environment for the enjoyment of current and future citizens.

Planning
Providing information to the public on the City's land use policies and regulations. Work with the Planning Commission and City Council to create and implement long-range plans, including the Local Coastal Plan, for the city's growth and development consistent with approved planning principles and state law.

The Pismo Beach Police Department is an active, progressive agency devoted to Community Policing through proactive enforcement of its laws and crime prevention activities.
